Charlotte is a marathon runner with a passion for motherhood. She started Mothers Across America (MAAM) in April 2003 to cultivate the sport and help mothers realize a physical goal results in improved self-image and better life performance. Charlotte says that the visualization required to finish a marathon teaches the ability to visualize success in other areas of life. With each mile comes a clearer understanding of the strength of mind over body as the vision of crossing the finish line leads the body through unbearable fatigue. Having coached her first team to the finish the NYC Marathon in 2003, Charlotte witnessed the transformation of mothers through achieving a goal they all felt impossible. Charlotte was selected from over 2000 competitive athletes to represent Balance Bar. MAAM has witnessed a 500 percent increase in membership since 2003. |
